Stewardship Program 2020
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ:
This year, 2020, has been unlike any year in the history of our church community. The seasons changed throughout the unprecedented year, as hardships endured in different ways for many people. We continue to have growing numbers and increasing trends of individuals and families in need. Some of our church members and community neighbors are struggling with the health and economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, as we look toward the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons and the new year ahead, we must continue to adapt to changes, expect and overcome adversity, and face further uncertainty.
Yet we remain together as a church family, united as faithful believers and followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit through the grace of Jesus alone, we are given blessings of Love, Hope, Mercy, Justice, Wisdom and Peace!
Indeed, for so long and even now, we have been blessed in so many ways and have "received freely" from the Lord. And so "freely we must give." (Matthew 10:18) Our 2020 Stewardship Program will be celebrated at worship services and online on Sundays October 25, November 1 and November 8. Our praise, music and worship will include a three-part sermon series filled with reflection and thanksgiving for our infinite blessings.
During this season of thanksgiving, we are reminded that all blessings come from God. He blesses us abundantly, and we are given all we need. Our blessings and gifts come in many different forms of time, talent and treasures. And we are called by Jesus to serve Him by being kind, generous and compassionate toward others, to love one another and to give generously with a humble heart as a priority within our ability. Humbly, we know in our hearts and through the Word of God that it truly honors Jesus to share our blessings, to give freely to one another and to care for those in need.
May the mighty hands of our Lord Jesus Christ bless you and keep you!
