What to Expect

It can be an intimidating experience to visit a church because you don’t know exactly what to expect. We hope we can give you some idea of what to expect so that you can enjoy your visit to Addisville Reformed Church (ARC).

Worship Style— We love the Lord and we love worshiping Him! Our 9 AM service is traditional and more formal, featuring both hymns and liturgy (as seen in the above banner image).  Our 10:45 AM service is contemporary, informal and casual (as seen in the inset photo). Both of our services are rooted in Biblical teachings and are musically excellent. Our desire for you is that through our worship, you will see how great God truly is.

Preaching— Because we believe the Bible is God’s Word for life, we offer messages that teach and explain the meaning of Scripture. Copies of past sermons are available in our Church Library for you to borrow.

Meeting People— You will definitely meet people at ARC, and it can happen many ways! You will be greeted in the hall as you approach the Sanctuary. If you have children, please follow the signs for the age-appropriate classroom for your child. We offer Sunday school for all ages from September-June during both services and an adult education class during our 10:45 AM service. During the summer months we offer a children’s ministry called Club Jesus at our second service. We try to have people available to guide you where you want to go, and our signs throughout the building also help point you in the right direction. Please join us between our services for coffee and refreshments in Fellowship Hall.

Children's Ministries and Child Care— We offer the same Sunday school curriculum, Holy Moly, for children in grades K-12 from September-June during both services. If you have younger children, please accompany them upstairs to the 2nd floor of the Christian Education building and follow the signs for the age-appropriate classroom for your child. During the summer months we offer short children's sermons followed by a children’s ministry called Club Jesus during the 10:45 service. Nursery care is available during both services for infants through age 4 by Jen McDuell, assisted by church volunteers, in the child care room located on the first floor of the Christian Education building. Pagers are available to call parents if issues arise.

Dress— Some like to dress up, many like to dress down, but all like to feel comfortable so they can focus on experiencing a time to worship God and meet people.
