You can talk yourself off the ledge and view bad news through the lens of God’s sovereignty. You can discover a life of calm and develop tools for combating the onslaught of anxiety.
Faith Under Fire
Lee Strobel hosts spirited discussions as leading Christian and non-Christian voices engage in a forceful but fair debate on controversial issues like: Is the Supernatural Real? Do All Roads Lead to God? Is the Bible Bogus? Why Does God Allow Pain and Suffering? The Mystery of the Trinity. Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God?
The Prayers of Jesus
Prayer was the backbone of Jesus’ life and ministry. From his baptism to his crucifixion, the Gospels portray Jesus as a man of prayer who knew and deeply valued intimate communion with his heavenly Father. What can we learn from the prayers he prayed? This Deeper Connections study will present these parables in light of their historical and cultural background and take an engaging, close look at the biblical text and its meaning, and identify accurate, encouraging, and challenging applications of the Prayers of Jesus to life today.
The Book of Mark
The Gospel of Mark chronicles Jesus’s journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Along the way, the Messiah gathers a ragged band of disciples. As crowds grow and dwindle on the road to Jerusalem, only a few stick by the Suffering Savior on the road of discipleship. Author and speaker Francis Chan invites us to walk with him along the ancient ways of the Master. Tracing the steps of Jesus and the Twelve through Israel, Francis explores the major themes of the Gospel of Mark, and asks: Are we willing to take this journey to embrace discipleship?
As standards of conduct continue to erode in our shock-proof world, we must fight the soul pollution threatening our health, our faith, and our witness to others. Without even knowing it, people willingly inhale second-hand toxins poisoning their relationship with God and stunting their spiritual growth. Craig Groeschel will challenge you out of complacency into a life of new, pure, and focused living in a deeper relationship with God with concise teaching and honest humor.
